Safety-first, Canada-wide

Calm riders. Safer roads. A stronger two-wheel community.

This past season shook a lot of us. Too many close calls, too many stories that didn’t end well. We built Class6Loaner to reduce anxiety for new riders by making the “unknowns” predictable — and to give experienced riders a simple way to mentor, set a safety-first tone, and get compensated for showing up prepared.

Quick answers

Do mentors teach people how to ride?
No. Mentors are not instructors. Road tests are booked under the assumption the test-taker has already practiced riding. Mentors can offer calm reassurance and a few common-sense pointers through in-app messaging — but we recommend no lessons and no last-minute “training sessions” on test day.
Insurance & responsibility
BorrowMyBike is designed for short, registry-based road tests (not rentals, not lessons). Coverage and permitted use can vary by insurer and province, so mentors and test-takers should understand their own policies and responsibilities. Full marketplace rules and documentation live inside the app.
Weather & reschedules
If conditions are unsafe or the registry reschedules, the goal is a safe rebook — not a stressful, last-minute scramble.
